about

I’m a writer and editor based in New York City. I’m interested in and write about politics, media, gender and sex. I’m currently an editor at The Huffington Post. I often tweet. In the past, I’ve written for Jezebel, Raw Story, Talking Points Memo, The Rumpus and The Boston Globe, among others.

In a previous life, I wrote about health and science for Children’s Hospital Boston, helping to launch its pediatric health blog, Thriving.

My favorite recent stories include this one on sex on a first date and this one on what happened when my best guy friend became my best girl friend.

This piece about a transgender tween going through pubertal suppression therapy is also one of my favorites.
